City Invasion – Local Multiplayer Arcade Prototype

City Invasion is a local multiplayer arcade-style beat ’em up prototype designed to showcase cooperative gameplay on a single system. The project focuses on shared-screen multiplayer interaction, player coordination, and goal-driven level completion rather than narrative depth.

The game features two players working together to defeat waves of enemies, earn points, and progress through the level. Combat and scoring systems are designed to encourage active participation from both players, reinforcing cooperation rather than solo play. To successfully complete a level, both players must survive and reach the designated escape point, emphasizing teamwork and shared objectives.

Inspired by classic arcade punch ’em up games, City Invasion explores how simple mechanics, clear visual feedback, and cooperative design can create engaging multiplayer experiences in a compact prototype format.

Assets used in this project were sourced from the Unity Asset Store. All gameplay systems, mechanics, and integration were developed by me
